God gave the Old Testament Law through Moses. Jesus Christ perfectly fulfilled all of the righteous requirements of the Law, thus finishing it.
The Law
Psalm 19:7-8 7 The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.8 The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.
In this study on the Mosaic Law we will search the scriptures to understand the Old Testament Law better and to be more thankful for Christ’s fulfillment of the Law. Why was the Law given? What were the strengths and weaknesses of the Law? How were people saved before Jesus came to die for man’s sin? Was there grace and mercy for men before the cross? Of what importance is the Law for Christians today? Praise the Lord gives us clear teachings in His word for all of these questions and more.
Galatians 3:11But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.
Romans 7:12Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.
